Because we leave no petroleum or waxes in your carpet as steam can your carpets stay cleaner much longer between professional cleaning as compared to steam which saves you money over time.

Your carpets are left with a neutral pH (same as drinking water) so there is no risk of staining when you have a spill as there is with high pH cleaning solutions. Stains that reappear after carpets dry can be corrected with our basic cleaning or in more severe cases with our Brown Out Specialty Stain Treatment.

The Difference Between Chem-Dry and Steam Cleaning

Steam high water volume and pressure saturate your carpet down to the pad and at times into the flooring beneath the pad. Chem-Dry Hot Carbonating Extraction uses 80% less water at lower pressure without over saturating your carpet, pad and flooring.

The Natural

Is your carpet cleaning solution safe for my family and pets? And do we use Chemicals? These are two questions we get asked all the time by our clients. First off, the “Chem” in Chem-Dry stands for “Chemistry, NOT

Chemicals.” We use a carpet cleaning solution called The Natural® which has been certified Green by I.T.C. labs and used by Chem-Dry for the last 35 years. This exclusive cleaning solution produces natural Carbon Dioxide (CO2) bubbles that penetrate the carpet fibers, dissolves dirt and stains quickly, and then releases dirt to the surface for vacuum extraction to a waste tank outside of your home. We like to think of it as a supercharged club soda but we call it our Hot Carbonation Extraction (HCE) system. And, yes, it is completely safe for your family, home, and pets and is even generally regarded by the Food and Drug Administration as safe to drink (but does not taste very good)!

Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.)

As pet urine dries, the liquid evaporates leaving behind concentrated and pungent urine. At this point a simple cleaning will not remove this odor and a professional has to step in.

and rid your home of the odor, Chem-Dry applies PURT, a specially designed solution that destroys pet urine at the molecular level instead of just masking the odor. Our expert technicians are trained to conduct a thorough inspection of your carpets with a specialized ultraviolet light that will expose any urine deposits that may not be visible to the naked eye thus ensuring that all problem areas have been treated.

When combined with our HCE carpet cleaning, we guarantee you that the urine odors will be removed or we will return and re-treat the same urine for free. All you have to do is give us a call within 7 days of the service and we will schedule a return service at no charge to you. Some urine staining may be permanent but in most cases, it is removed, however, we cannot guarantee stain removal where the urine has permanently dyed the carpet.

Stain Protection

Over time the stain protection applied by the factory will lose effectiveness with regular wear. Chem-Dry Protectants will renew stain resistant carpets fortifying their resistance to staining and soiling. Chem-Dry Protectant

Wool Safe Certified

Chem-Dry’s Wool Protectant is specifically developed to clean wool fibers without causing damage or discoloration of the wool. The Wool Safe Organisation has tested and certified our Wool Protectant as safe and you will see their seal of approval on each package prior to mixing with water.

The Process

Traditional steam cleaning companies pump lots of water into your carpet in order to clean your carpets. What’s left behind is sopping wet carpets that need days to dry during which time mold are given the

opportunity to bread in your carpet. Some companies use no water at all opting for the use of harsh dry powder and chemicals instead. Some companies use no extraction at all and some never use heat. With so many different ways to have your carpets cleaned and none of the traditional cleaning processes revealing themselves as optimal, we set out to create a carpet cleaning process that is the perfect balance of water, agitation, application time, solutions and heat. We use just the right amount of water (80% less water than steam cleaning), effective rotating agitation, our green, natural carbonated cleaning solution that we then heat to over 200 degrees and extract using our powerful Truck-Mount equipment that results in the deepest clean with a significantly faster dry time of 2 to 3 hours, not days!

Our truck mounted cleaning systems have the highest rating of Platinum from the Carpet And Rug Institute requiring that we remove at least 90% of the dirt.
